How to Get Rid of Vomit Smell (NO Chemicals!)

These past few days have been one of those kinds of days. You know the you don’t feel so good yourself and the kids are vomiting / puking everywhere. The washing load is piling and all you want to do is go snuggle in your own bed.

I had 2 of the 4 kids vomiting over the last 24 hours. Something they ate most likely, but better out than in as shrek says. My only issue, besides the kids actually being sick is the amount of washing it usually adds up to! I also find my current chemical free washing powder is super lacking when it comes to getting rid of the vomit smell in clothing, linens and blankets. The last time I had to wash everything 5+ times before I could not smell the vomit smell anymore.

You see a few months ago I started using a new essential oil company and this company makes various blends of oils. I have been using my starter kit happily when I saw that some people actually use a few drops of oil on a felt square in the dryer to scent their clothing. Well since I don’t have a dryer my next best thing is directly in the washing machine!
