Still need Valentine’s? Try these!

Whether you are having a classroom Valentine’s Day party or looking for Valentine’s Day themed activities for your kids at home, this is it! These learning games are all so fun!

You don’t need much to prep these printables. Once you print them, they are ready to go.
There are two options, you can use with a writing utensil of your choice or you could laminate and use with dry erase marker. You could also use a dry erase pocket instead of laminating.

Letter Formation Hearts

Cut these hearts out and use with a dry erase pocket or laminate. Using a dry erase marker, kids can practice writing each letter over and over.

Heart Number Recognition Game

This game has cards and a counting mat. Each card represents a different number which is also on the mat. Kids can count the hearts on one side of the card or read the number word. Once the number is recognized, a heart button can be placed on the correct number on the mat. Another option is to have your little one match the cards with each other. For example, the number “8,” the written word “eight” and the card with 8 hearts on it.

Heart Prewriting Strips

Each prewriting strip will start with a heart and have a different dotted line design for kids to trace. This can be done by placing the strips inside a dry erase pocket or laminating, then using dry erase markers to trace. These tracing strips are a perfect way to help children learn to hold a pencil and how to manipulate their hands to make the correct shape.

Playdough Mats

Grab your playdough and let’s get counting. Each mat focuses on a different number and allows children to create the number, count to that number and create the number word. This is also a wonderful way for children to strengthen fine motor skills!

Fine Motor Hearts

Not only will children strengthen fine motor skills with this heart activity, they will also be working on color recognition. Grab some pom poms and tongs and get started.
