We strategically made these free preschool worksheets right before Valentine’s Day to (hopefully) allow your child some reflection time on the choices they are about to make regarding their candy consumption 🤣🍭. If you’re anything like me, you’re not a big candy fan but you also don’t want to be the “negative Nancy” ruining your child’s Valentine’s Day. These free printable worksheets allow for a nice compromise.
Happy or Sad Tooth Free Preschool Worksheets
These free preschool worksheets are great for children of all ages. However, we call them “preschool worksheets” because a child who has not yet learned to read or write is very capable of completing these homeschool worksheets. The activity comes with six printable worksheets with four prompts on each page (24 total).
In each of the prompts your child will be shown a picture of two food items. Below the food items are two pictures of teeth – one happy tooth and one sad tooth. Your child will need to circle whether or not the tooth will feel happy or sad after eating the pictured food item. These free preschool worksheets are a great way to start a conversation with your child about healthy eating choices.
Prepping Your Free Preschool Worksheets
We’re not reinventing the wheel here, and this isn’t rocket science. Prepping your free preschool worksheets is made easy with intention. Simply print your worksheets, prepare your child with an appropriate writing utensil, and make sure that they understand the directions of the activity. Yes, it’s really that simple…
Curious about what your child will be learning with these free preschool worksheets aside from the obvious lesson of “don’t eat too much candy” 😝? Well, we’re glad you asked! These free printables will help your child with their:
- Critical thinking skills
- Fine motor skills (circles are hard, okay?)
- And more!
The Importance of Making Healthier Choices
Of course we all know it’s okay to indulge in unhealthy things (like Valentine’s Day candy) from time to time. But, it’s important to help our children learn awareness regarding their food choices so that they can learn to set healthy boundaries around their consumption.
It can be helpful to talk to your child about all of the benefits of living a healthier lifestyle: living longer, healthier skin, less trips to the doctor, feeling good physically and mentally, as well as many other benefits. We hope these free preschool worksheets can be a great conversation starter for you and your little ones as you help them to learn and grow into their best selves.
