Learning the days of the week is an important task that many children learn during preschool or kindergarten. This is usually done with worksheets, calendar time, and songs. These are all great times to teach children the days and their order. That being said, having a visual que can be super helpful for many children. This is where these Days of The Week Printables Cards come in.
Days Of The Week Cards
These colorful, printable cards are perfect for preschool or kindergarten classrooms or at home. There are so many different ways they can be used, but all of them will help children learn not only to identify the days of the week but the order also.
Prepping these cards is super simple. Once you have printed them, I would suggest laminating them. This is not required, but it can help preserve the cards. You may also need other supplies, depending on how you choose to use these cards.
The first thought, is to use them as the days labeled on a wall calendar in a preschool or homeschool classroom. The cards are colorful, rainbow colors, so it is fun for kids.
These can also be used for a variety of games.

Matching/Memory Game: Print two sets of each day. Mix them up, turn them upside down. The first person playing takes their turn by turning over two cards. If they match, pull the cards out of the game into a pile. If they don’t match, return them to the game. The next player takes a turn then. Whoever has the most matches at the end of the game, wins.
Put Them In Order: Mix up the cards, ask the child to put them in order starting with Sunday. If you have more than one child, you could make it a race to see who can finish first.
Before or After: Hold the cards like flashcards, pulling one at a time. Ask the child to identify the day then say which day comes before and after.
Writing: Put the days of the week cards on Popsicle sticks. Have your child pick one at a time and write them on a piece of paper.
