I absolutely love when I can get seasonal activities that help my children learn. Not only is this fun and festive, but it’s helping my children develop, too! These Christmas Preschool Activities are printable, low prep and help children with a ton of different important development areas!
Christmas Preschool Activities
I don’t know about you, but when it starts getting closer to a holiday, my children get more anxious. It makes it harder for them to concentrate when we are learning. That is when I bring out the big guns and do seasonal activities that they can associate with the upcoming holiday. These printable preschool activities are perfect for Christmas time!
All you’ll need is a writing and coloring utensil.

Upper and Lowercase Letter Tracing
These two pages include one for uppercase letters and one for lowercase letters. Children can follow the dotted lines to help them learn their letters. This is perfect for prewriting, helping children with their handwriting or giving a little extra literacy practice.
Letter Matching Cards
Next is letter matching cards. Each card can be cut in half, the uppercase letter on the top and lowercase on the bottom. Kids will match the letters together. Also, the Christmas themed image is cut in half too, so for smaller children it will be helpful to match the pictures.
Christmas Trace and Color
The next two pages are Trace and Color. They feature Christmas and winter themed pictures that are presented in dotted lines. Children can trace the dotted line to complete the pictures and then color the pictures. This is a fabulous activity to increase creativity and strengthen prewriting skills.
Cut and Match Puzzles
There are four puzzles. To prep these, you’ll need to cut them out. Cut the strips so that children can match them up while counting. There is a Santa, snowman, stocking and Christmas tree. Children can put the puzzles together by completing the picture, or they can put it together by putting the numbers in order, numbers 1-10.
Christmas Word Tracing
The last activity is word tracing. Again, this is great for prewriting or practicing handwriting. The words are: reindeer, caroling, Christmas, gingerbread, snowman, elf and sleigh. There are also pictures included on the page that kids can color!
